Tyvek began in a DuPont laboratory in 1955, when a researcher noticed white polyethylene fibres coming out of a pipe. Launched in 1967, it became the material behind the protective coverall worn in cleanrooms, labs and industry worldwide.

Light, breathable and a barrier against particles and liquids: disposable protection trusted where contamination is not an option.
